Welcome to Sale Cruising Club, we are situated on the Bridgewater Canal in the heart of Sale. Our Club was founded in 1959 and has expanded since then to Brooklands and includes moorings at Timperley. We are a social cruising club. We do not offer residential moorings.
Sale Cruising Club is one of five Clubs on the Bridgewater Canal which form the Federation of Bridgewater Cruising Clubs ( FBCC ) who's main aim is to keep the canal navigable and to negotiate with the Bridgewater Canal Company.
The Club is also affiliated to the Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs ( AWCC ) which brings together all the clubs in the region.
To keep mooring costs down we are a self help club, members are expected and encouraged to attend and take part in cruises, meetings, social and maintenance activities.
Have a boat and thinking about joining then why not join as a social member and see what we're all about. We have our own clubhouse where we hold various social functions throughout the year from quiz nights, live music, bonfire night and Christmas parties. it's a good first step to becoming part of a great club.
